The 42nd Meeting of Charolas of the City of Faro, with the participation of 8 groups, from Estoi, Conceição de Faro, Santa Bárbara de Nexe and Bordeira.
Charolas are a tradition in the Municipality of Faro and throughout the Algarve, associated with the New Year and Three Kings Day. The programme of the Charolas groups includes songs to the Child and “vivas” expressing wishes for the new year, whose beginning is celebrated.

O 42.º Encontro de Charolas da Cidade de Faro que conta com a participação de 8 grupos, de Estoi, Conceição de Faro, Santa Bárbara de Nexe e Bordeira.
As Charolas são uma tradição no Concelho de Faro e em todo o Algarve, associada ao ano novo e ao Dia de Reis. Do programa dos grupos de Charolas constam cantares ao Menino e as “vivas” que exprimem os votos para o ano novo, cujo início se festeja.
