As part of the celebrations of the 452nd anniversary of the Elevation of Lagos to City, the Algarve Jazz Orchestra welcomes two guests, the first being Clara Buser, the “greatest ” voice of Algarvian Jazz who, with his innate talent, will embody some standards, including some that he has already recorded with OJA in recent years, in original orchestrations: Bye Bye Blackbird, All Of me, Windows or Footprints. Tonight’s second guest is one of the most relevant names in drums, choosing, many years ago, our country to change the face of Jazz when it comes to his instrument, a feat completely achieved. His drumming will certainly be indelible in this show. The show is also completed with some songs from the repertoire of Thad Jones, one of the references in world Jazz, not only as a musician, but also as an orchestrator and band leader of his Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra. A special end to the day, on a special date!

Free parking – The Lagos Cultural Center and the Municipal Library of Lagos offer free parking in the Frente Ribeirinha (Avenida dos Descobrimentos) park for the audience of your shows/events. For this discount, the user simply needs to present, at the park reception, a stamp obtained at the ticket office of the Centro Cultural de Lagos or entrance to the Municipal Library of Lagos. The offer only applies to one hour before and up to one hour after each show/event.

O segundo convidado desta noite é um dos nomes mais relevantes da bateria, escolhendo, há muitos anos, o nosso país para mudar o rosto do Jazz no que concerne ao seu instrumento, um feito completamente atingido. O seu drumming ficará certamente indelével neste concerto. O espetáculo completa-se ainda com alguns temas do repertório de Thad Jones, uma das referências do Jazz mundial, não só como músico, mas também como orquestrador e band-leader da sua Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra. Para o referido desconto basta que o utente apresente, na receção do parque, carimbo obtido na bilheteira do Centro Cultural de Lagos ou entrada da Biblioteca Municipal de Lagos. A oferta diz apenas respeito a uma hora antes e até uma hora depois de cada espetáculo/evento.
