Educate for a Better Future Cycle – January Sessions
To mark the beginning of 2025, the Municipality of Portimão continues the “Educating for a Better Future” cycle that has been taking place throughout the current school year, promoting two sessions in January at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library aimed at the school community, including parents, children, teachers and specialized technicians.
Take note of the scheduled sessions:
January 11
“YOU WILL BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE”
From 4 pm to 5 pm
Speaker: Susana Proença – psychologist
This session is aimed at parents and their children
Objective: To promote the exploration of interests/professions and stimulate children’s imagination through reading and exploring a book To promote self-knowledge, self-esteem and respect for others
The action will have a practical component, where activities will be carried out exploration activities
January 15
“LET ME GROW – OVERPROTECTION OR AUTONOMY”
From 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Speakers: Marta Inácio and Clara Freitas – Psychologists at GASMI
This session is aimed at parents/guardians, teachers and specialized technicians
Objective: To reflect on the importance of autonomy in the child development process, Intervention strategies.

Ciclo Educar Para Um Melhor Futuro – Sessões De Janeiro
A marcar o início de 2025, o Município de Portimão dá continuidade ao ciclo “Educar para um Melhor Futuro” que está a decorrer ao longo do presente do ano letivo, promovendo na Biblioteca Municipal Manuel Teixeira Gomes, duas sessões em janeiro dirigidas à comunidade escolar, incluindo pais, crianças, docentes e técnicos especializados.

“TU VAIS SER AQUILO QUE QUISERES SER”
Das 16h às 17h
Orador: Susana Proença – psicóloga
Esta sessão é destinada a pais e respetivas crianças
Objetivo : Promover a exploração dos interesses/profissões e estimular a imaginação das crianças através da leitura e exploração de um livro Promover o autoconhecimento a auto estima e o respeito pelo outro
A ação terá uma componente prática, onde serão realizadas atividades de exploração
15 de janeiro
“DEIXA-ME CRESCER –SUPERPROTEÇÃO OU AUTONOMIA”
Das 17h30 às 18H30
Oradoras: Marta Inácio e Clara Freitas – Psicólogas do GASMI
Esta sessão é destinada a pais/encarregados de educação, docentes e técnicos especializados
Objetivo : Refletir sobre a importância da autonomia no processo de desenvolvimento da criança, Estratégias de intervenção.
