On January 12th, the new year begins at the Portimão Sports Pavilion with a magical journey into the world of Avatar, in an artistic celebration that brings together the classes of the Portimão Municipal Dance School.

This dance show transports the audience to Pandora, a world full of mysteries, unique beauty and a deep connection with nature, spirituality and the fight for survival.

The first part of the show explores the essence of Pandora, where the Na’vi tribes dance in harmony with the planet’s exuberant fauna and flora. Through graceful movements and choreographies of contemporary dance, ballet and contemporary jazz, it will be possible to feel the peace and spirituality that characterize this vibrant world.

In the second part, peace gives way to war, with the arrival of human troops, bringing with them ambition and chaos. Intense and striking choreographies reflect the tension between the two worlds, representing the inevitable conflict between preservation and destruction. The show’s climax is reached in the final battle, where the Na’vi tribes unite in the fight for survival and peace. Set to the music of “WAR,” powerful and dynamic movements express the strength of unity and resistance.

“Pandora, the dance of harmony” is more than a dance show. It is a celebration of connection, love and the fight to preserve all that is precious.

No dia 12 de Janeiro, o novo ano começa, no Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo de Portimão, com uma jornada mágica ao universo de Avatar, numa celebração artística que une as turmas da Escola Municipal de Dança de Portimão.

Este espetáculo de dança transporta o público para Pandora, um mundo repleto de mistérios, de uma beleza única e uma conexão profunda com a natureza, a espiritualidade e a luta pela sobrevivência..

A primeira parte do espetáculo explora a essência de Pandora, onde as tribos Na’vi dançam em harmonia com a fauna e flora exuberantes do planeta. Através de movimentos graciosos e coreografias de dança contemporânea, Ballet e Jazz Contemporâneo, será possível sentir a paz e a espiritualidade que caracterizam este mundo vibrante.

Na segunda parte, a paz dá lugar à guerra, com a chegada das tropas humanas, trazendo consigo a ambição e o caos. Coreografias intensas e marcantes refletem a tensão entre os dois mundos, representando o conflito inevitável entre preservação e destruição. O clímax do espetáculo é alcançado na batalha final, onde as tribos Na’vi se unem na luta pela sobrevivência e pela paz. Ao som da música “WAR”, movimentos poderosos e dinâmicos expressam a força da união e da resistência.
