In the year in which Portimão celebrates its Centenary of being elevated to City status, the Strategic Plan for Culture in Portimão 2034 is being launched. Its development will be phased in with the aim of encouraging the participation of the entire community, especially the protagonists of the cultural fabric of this territory.

Thus, the Municipality will begin work to involve the people of Portimão in the process of participatory development of this important work tool that looks to the future, through an innovative and certified methodology, promoted by the Observatory of Science, Communication and Culture Policies of the Centre for Communication and Society Studies of the University of Minho.

Aimed at the cultural, sporting, economic, academic and political communities and anyone who wishes to contribute to the project.

By promoting art and creativity, we will invest in the well-being of our community, the vitality of our economy and the cohesion of our society.

Culture has the power to unite, inspire and transform, and this is only possible with the participation of all.

. 9:30 am to 4:00 pm – Working Groups (WG), based on four major themes: WG 1 – “Culture Portimão 2034” (9:30 am-11:00 am) | WG 2 – “Cultural Citizenship” (11:30 am-1:00 pm) | WG 3 – “Municipal cultural dynamics in the last decade” (2:00 pm-3:30 pm) | GT 4 – “Transsectoriality of Culture” (16:00-17:30) – (Maximum of 20 participants from the territory/per group).

. 18:00 – PLENARY SESSION – open to all interested parties

The Conference culminates with a plenary session, where the presentation, discussion and comments on the work developed in the four thematic groups will take place. In addition to the participants in the GT, all interested parties may participate in this session, up to the capacity limit of the small auditorium of TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão.

No ano em que Portimão celebra o Centenário de Elevação a Cidade, é lançado o Plano Estratégico Cultura Portimão 2034, cuja elaboração será faseada, com o objetivo de estimular a participação de toda a comunidade, em especial os protagonistas do tecido cultural deste território.

Assim, o Município vai iniciar os trabalhos de envolvimento dos portimonenses no processo de elaboração participativa desta importante ferramenta de trabalho que perspetiva o futuro, através de uma metodologia inovadora e certificada, promovida pelo Observatório de Políticas de Ciência, Comunicação e Cultura do Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade da Universidade do Minho.

Dirigido às comunidades cultural, desportiva, económica, académica, política e a todos os que desejem contribuir para o projeto.

Ao promover a arte e a criatividade, investiremos no bem-estar de nossa comunidade, na vitalidade de nossa economia e na coesão de nossa sociedade.

A cultura tem o poder de unir, inspirar e transformar, sendo apenas possível com a participação de todos.

A Conferência culmina com uma sessão plenária, onde será efetuada a apresentação, discussão e comentários ao trabalho desenvolvido nos quatro grupos temáticos. Nesta sessão, para além dos participantes nos GT, poderão participar todos os interessados até ao limite da lotação do pequeno auditório do TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão.
