Sobre a autora:

Carla Almeida é natural do Porto, cresceu a ver a escola da varanda dos avós. Tornou-se professora do Ensino Básico, 1º ciclo e mais tarde, após diferentes experiências profissionais e formações, entregou-se à área da Educação para o risco, gestão de catástrofes e crises humanitárias. Atualmente reside no Algarve e colabora com a equipa da Biblioteca Escolar do Agrupamento de Escolas Júdice Fialho, Portimão. Sapato aqui, chinelo acolá é a sua primeira obra publicada. Exaltando os valores da amizade, solidariedade e justiça, sempre com uma pitada de humor e felicidade que lhe é característica.
