Synopsis:
Venice, 1800. At the Sant’Ignazio Institute, a decrepit orphanage and home for the needy near Venice, lives Teresa, a mute and lonely girl. The orphanage is also a conservatory and everyone eagerly awaits the visit of the new Pope. The chapel master is trying hard to create a new piece of music. But it is Teresa who, upon discovering a pianoforte in a storage room, will revolutionize life at the orphanage and create a new piece of music that will surprise the entire world. Sinopse:
Veneza, 1800. No Instituto Sant’Ignazio, um orfanato e casa de desvalidadas decrépito, próximo de Veneza, vive Teresa, uma rapariga muda e solitária. O orfanato é também conservatório e todos aguardam com muita expectativa a visita do novo Papa. O mestre da capela esforça-se por criar uma nova peça musical. Mas será Teresa, que ao descobrir numa arrecadação um piano-forte, vai revolucionar a vida do orfanato e criar uma nova música que surpreenderá o mundo inteiro.
